Realme XT Pro with 90Hz display? Realme confirms it, says will be cheaper than OnePlus 7T

OnePlus introduced it on its flagship OnePlus 7 Pro earlier this year and now its sister brands are getting it too. The 90Hz screen has been a hit on the premium OnePlus phone and parent organization BBK electronics is now giving it to most of its other phone brands. Oppo confirmed it earlier on one of its upcoming phones and now, Realme is joining the league as well. Yes, there’s finally a Realme phone that will get a 90Hz screen.

If you are having trouble believing it, then you should know that this comes from Realme’s product manager Wang Derek in China. Wang confirmed in one of his latest Weibo posts that Realme is coming up with a new smartphone that will feature a 90Hz display. And the best part is that this phone will be priced much cheaper than the OnePlus 7T, another new phone in BBK Electronic’s to get the 90Hz OLED display.

Wang didn’t reveal any of the specifications for this phone but rumours suggest this could be the Realme XT Pro that’s expected to launch in the coming months. The Realme XT Pro is expected to be a more powerful and premium version of the Realme XT which also will be breaking cover in global markets soon.

The Realme XT Pro is said to come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a small notch on the top. This means that the display will be similar to what we will see on the OnePlus 7T Pro. And most possibly, there will be an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Other highlight specifications speculated include a Snapdragon 730G chipset and a quad camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary camera.

A 90Hz display appears to be smoother when compared to conventional 60Hz screens on conventional phones. Hence, all gaming phones such as Nubia Red Magic 3 and OnePlus 7 Pro get it to make gameplay seem smoother. Even in normal day-to-day usage, you will see smoother animations throughout the interface. The Razer Phone 2 and ROG Phone 2 even flaunt a 120Hz display that’s supposed to be even smoother.

Given that Realme’s product cycles keep coming very fast, we could probably see this mysterious Realme phone with a 90Hz screen in the Indian market before the end of this year.
